Hausa Cap
The Hausa people of Mali and Niger are creatively dominant. Their men’s hat design has become trendy in numerous parts of Africa and the western hemisphere. In America, this hat approach is called Kufi, which is an African word denotation tiara. These hats which the Hausa call fulans or men’s hats, are usually completed from strips of richly embellished cloth, or are knitted. The designs on Hausa hats are typically finished of lines and shapes which represent either following significant events or are spiritual in nature. There is a Hausa cap with stylized place motifs that is a visual prayer for rain. The designs are Islamic in stimulation with a meaning on geometry and pattern.
